The Alpha's replacement

Kurai looked at the wolf with Amusement. "Why would you think that?"
asked Kurai. Kurai raised his paw and started licking it.

"Are you suspecting us because Moonpack is shady, and the darkest pack?" Lynx said, without anger, but a questioning tone. "Then you are wrong."

"Why would we do anything to your pack you haven't done anything to us, have they Lynx?" Kurai asked Lynx. Kurai is slightly more interested, so he is now perked up. Kurai stands up. "Have you come to threaten us?" asks Kurai coldly.

Cordath held up a paw, he truly did not suspect her "That is not what i meant, we mean you no insult, nor are we hear to accuse you, If i were you, you would not have helped the alpha's replacement, when he was lost in your territory, may we parle for a moment without our guard?"

(this seems like a good time to add some sort of wolf hunter creature, or something?)

(Sure) "Fine, we shall help you. Is that alright with you, Kurai?" She asked the Alpha male.

Shine's eyes narrowed at the voices coming from just beyond her line of sight, but still remained still. She instead waited for them to show themselves, and she raised a brow as both Alphas came out to meet them. She wasn't expecting both of them. She listened as her temporary alpha spoke, then-as things began to get out of hand-stepped forward to silence him. She stepped forward so she was barely on the neutral side of the border, then dipped her head in respect.  "Forgive us for intruding so close to your borders, and we mean no disrespect. we merely wonder if you saw anything, or if you know of any creature that may be responsible." She said, looking not at the other wolves, but at the black wolf in her own pack. She understood it was a slight slip of tongue, but he was not yet used to such things as this.

(what did he do again? he said he didn't thank it was her, and then thanked her for helping him out of her pack's territory)

((She just thought it was getting out of hand. Kurai and Lynx seemed to be getting offended. ))

Kurai liked this Alpha already. She was clearly in control. Kurai dipped his head in greeting, it was not for respect or submission. It was just a greeting. "I do not know of a creature that could do this..." Kurai fell silent "There is about 3 things that could kill three high ranked wolves."

This peaked her interest. "Our Alpha and Betas were three of our strongest wolves. What could possibly take them out? Alone or together? She asked, her voice sharpening with interest, not suspicion.

"Maybe other wolves? Rogues? Or some other form of magic?" Lynx wondered to them.

Kurai was getting a little frightened. "Well first there are bears, they are alone most of the time but sometimes they band together" said Kurai "Second there are boars, they are as big as wolves with big teeth and two giant tusks, they band together a lot." "Lastly there are the cougars, they are as big as wolves sometimes bigger, they are cats with sharp teeth" said Kurai worriedly. he looks around quickly as if the three might be there.

"True, I was thinking that. But I would say that three wolves might defeat them, and they have magic." She explained and started pacing.

"True true" agreed Kurai"But there is always the chance of something like that happening."

Shine's eyes narrowed. All of these creatures could take down a wolf alone, but all three of them? Even if that was the case. She voiced her thoughts aloud. "It is true that all of these could take down a wolf, but these three were our strongest warriors with some of the strongest magic. I fail to see how they could take them down." She said simply, wondering who else could possibly do it. The packs were not to blame, but who-what-else could do this? "Are you missing any Pack members who have been gone longer than a hunting trip should be?" She asked, wondering.

((Sounds good! We need more magical creatures anyway. I'll make a topic for it in Rules and Lore.))

Lynx looked at Kurai. "Come to think of it, yes, I think a few. The betas are gone."

Cordath says butting in "there's no way we're dealing with natural animals then, this would have to be a very powerful magic creature with an appetite for wolves..."

Lynx kept pacing. "Maybe a new and mutated creature..." She worried. "With magic as evil as demons..." Her tail swished.

Cordath nods thoughtfully "either that or another pack and I doubt the latter, we should work together to take down this foe" Cordath suggested "I hear you're quite the hunter, I'm quite the fighter as is my fellow icepack alpha, together we stand a chance"

Shine nodded to this, still wondering. "If it is indeed a creature, it is not one I know of, not any of the packs." She stated simply. "We need to be on careful lookout for this beast." She straightened. "It is probably wise to alert the other Packs of this creature, it appears to be a threat that threatens all of us, and must be stopped. But to do that, we must act together."

Lynx nodded to Kurai. "We would like to help, so we can get back our wolves too."

Cordath looked at her tilting his head curiously "you think they might still be alive, it's possible i suppose, but i wouldn't get my hopes up" still her words gave him hope, he hoped the alpha and beta would be alive so he would not have to bear the burden of leading the pack

(can the Ice pack alpha have died?)

Kurai stands up and starts pacing. ”There is a legend about a beast that is the combination of a demon and a wolf, it has the strongest magic of the land, more powerful than anything else." said Kurai. He looked at Lynx. ”Yes the packs need to stay together" agreed Kura.i

"We're wolves not pups." Cordath interjected in a matter of fact tone. "we should form a party and hunt it down"
